History: This w111 3. 5 Coupe was produced in February of 1970 featuring the rare and sought-after Schiebedach package featuring a sunroof with A/ C deletion and manual windows. While in the US its exterior color was changed from Papyrus White to Anthracite Grey metallic. Having owned the car for nearly 10 years, a New York couple offered the car for sale in New Jersey. In August of 2004, David Parvin bought the car and imported it in the UK where it had it MoT'd and registered as a Historic Vehicle. Three years later the car was sold to an Athens-based classic car dealer who in turn sold it to its current owner. Soon thereafter a total nut and bolt restoration was carried out with special emphasis on rectifying all factory-original specifications, including a total body respray in the original Papyrus White. In order to preserve originality, most parts were restored and reinstalled. All others were sourced directly from Mercedes-Benz Classic Center.
