Description
The van spent the first 40 odd years of her life in the USA, principally New Mexico and California before being imported to the UK in about 2009.
We bought her privately in the UK and imported her to France at the end of 2012.
She is registered in France as a Vehicule de Collection.
In the UK she had undergone an extensive mechanical and bodywork refurbishment including being lowered, a complete respray and new interior and re-upholstering by Type 3 Detectives and David Lee & Sons.
She has a working mini pop top and a large rear roof rack.
She is painted Savannah Beige on the bottom half and has Lotus White window frames and roof. The fenders and overiders are Cloud White and the roof rack and wheels are Flame Red.
The upholstery is Cream leatherette with Red piping.
She is fitted with a very comfortable full sized rock and roll bed, a fitted sink with cupboard below, a drop down table on the back of the passenger seat, and storage boxes along the side.
There is also another demountable table, a portable fridge, two ring gaz stove, and toilet.
There is also a large drive away awning/ tent.
There is a fitted leisure battery and automatic fire extinguisher in the engine bay.
She is in beautiful condition having been garaged and regularly serviced for the entire 10 years we have owned her.
A new owner might want to update her braking system to disc brakes and introduce power steering - but drums and heavy steering are part of the joy aren't they?Rocca, our name for her, is beautiful and a joy to drive around and take camping. She turns heads wherever we take her.
We don't particularly want to sell her - but needs must.
Whoever buys her will have such fun!
