Description
MOTO MORINI CORSARINO Scrambler
I bought this from a person who imported it in about 2002 from Italy.
I stripped it down (doesn’t take long!), but didn’t do a full frame repaint as it really didn’t need it, I just touched-in where necessary and did a top-end rebuild of the engine.
It has new Hagon shocks, fork seals, wheel bearings, carb overhaul, wheel rims have a little rust but are original, I guess; fork legs perfect, tank is totally rust free (it almost looks new) and undented, seat excellent, head bearings cleaned.
I have a letter from Stuart at NLM dating it to 1971 manufacture: as you can see , it has the frame and other cycle parts of a Scrambler, but the tank from a later Super Scrambler (which explains its condition, I guess).
I ran it up in 2020, see video - details above; do a search for 'corsarino' on youtube and its near the top.
But I have not tried to run it since, just kicked it over occasionally, with oil in the bores. I have knobbly tyres for it.
This is a very rare machine.
