GHNL2102817
New german TÜV / MOT in April 2024 - Passed the test with flying colours. The test engineers praised the excellent condition of the vehicle.
Original UK RHD car - built in Abingdon and first sold by University Motors Oxford.
Those who are intensively involved with MGA are aware of the small number of RHD cars built.
This car has spent a very long part of its life in France - with black UK plates in the garage of a villa on the Côte d'Azur.
Perhaps this was the reason for the very good condition of the car when I bought it in 2010. However, mice had taken up residence in the seats and used the good horsehair under the red leather seats as a nursery for their offspring. I then decided to have it professionally restored by a specialist company. The entire vehicle was dismantled and cleaned. All the old chrome parts were re-chromed. The Girling brake system was completely overhauled. Complete engine also overhauled....
The body was in a paint shop for a few months.
Experts know about the problems with the MGA's large mudguards. Even after more than 10 years, this MGA looks like a year-old car.
Modifications:
Rear shock absorbers from Koni are fitted. The original radiator has been replaced by an aluminium one.
The entire restoration is documented
Lot of pics are availble on request.
You can find an older video of this car on youtubeDove grey with red leather - for me, one of the most beautiful colour combinations in which an MGA can present itself. This car is as much a pleasure to drive as it is to look at. Basically, it belongs in the living room and not in a mundane garage.
I am planning big personal changes and therefore I'm parting with my beloved MGs - a dark green RHD MKII, a 57 LHD MGA with HRG Derrington engine are also looking for a new home. I would also like to part with my MGB MKI "Pullhandle". The B has already been to Abingdon to see Cemetry Road and the MG Club office. From the outside.
