Description
For private sale is a beloved peppermint green and pastel white 1966 Volkswagen Combi 1600 right hand drive with BRM alloy wheels and a red interior. It has a Devon conversion with a Martin Walter roof and a Devon caravette interior, a relatively rare combination. It's in excellent condition after a professional renovation.
This van is perfect for camping trips - it's highly practical due to the type of roof conversion, making it possible for adults to stand up in much of the inside when the roof is extended.
It sleeps two adults in the double bed conversion plus two children in the “top” bunks. It includes a fitted leisure battery, stereo, gas cooker, table and fridge (fridge is a non-original movable addition), rear seat-belts, USB charger, made to measure blackout blinds (not shown) and a camping awning.
The interior can be customised for you to "pimp your ride" . The van was German built, then imported to UK, and has been in the same ownership since 2003. It has a solid chassis and has been regularly serviced. It was professionally renovated in 2013 by a specialist London garage, stored inside and used rarely since then.
The professional renovation included a respray, and there is no bodywork required.
Please note the van has “Bay” jacking points instead of “Splitscreen” jacking points, but this make it easier to change the tyres/ wheels in an emergency. A number of original spare parts can also be included at cost price.
More information and photos available upon request, but there is no substitute for checking out a vehicle in person.
The van is priced realistically and has a higher insurance value, so "low-ball" offers won't be accepted, sorry.
