1979 VW Transporter Bay Window LHD. Imported from California in 2017. I purchased in 2020 as a project but haven't got passed stripping it down. In truth, the work that needs doing is beyond my capability. When purchased in 2020, I picked it up on the south coast and drove it back to Yorkshire and it never missed a beat. It has not been driven since then as it has been disassembled and stripped.
I have all of the doors, windows and interior.
The pictures posted with this ad are an honest representation of what needs doing to this bus. It has been stored indoors for the last 3 years and i think its time that it goes to someone who will put it back on the road.
I have tons of paperwork, documentation and certification for the vehicle including from VW in Germany.
The certification states:
Model: 231 661, VW Kombi, 5 seater
Engine: GE: 70 DIN-PS, 2. 0 Litre
Left the Hanover factory in Jan 1973 with the destination being Los Angeles.
