Description

This bike was originally purchased new by the 83 year old owners brother, from an American dealer who the imported it to Canada. It was one of three of this model in Bavarian cream imported to the USA. The owner and his wife toured extensively on it until 25 years ago when it became a weekend only bike. The bike is all original and has a lovely patina with some minor wear and imperfections. It has been carefully maintained for all these years, and always stored inside. The engine was overhauled 25 years ago and the transmission 3 years ago, and the brakes and tires were replaced last year. It comes with the hard panders and windshield as shown, a BMW tool kit, service manual and a few spares.
NOTE: The advertised price includes prepping, crating and shipping to your nearest port. the original adventure bike, the R60/ 2 was famous for its trouble free, long distance reliability and smooth power delivery with its shaft drive. Not many came in Bavarian cream colour as most were black, followed by red, then blue. This bike is a time machine in original condition with period correct paniers.
