Description
I used this car for almost 20 years, at one time on a daily basis. I've been to a lot of veteran car meets with it, under 100000 km without any major technical problem!
It has been repainted over the years, the original 500cc engine has been converted to 600cc, and a dinastarter has been added, hence the two V-belts at the back. The S Puch is technically the same as a 500 Fiat, in this model the Austrians in Graz have only changed the engine to a Puch. So originally this one only has a starter motor, but I think a Puch comes with a dinastarter, which can be used to start the car silently!
I am selling another Steyr-Puch here as I would like to finish this hobby. Please check that one out too! I would be happy to have both cars for the same owner! Any questions I am happy to answer! You'll love this car because it's a Puch! Steyr-Puchs are the Austrian brothers of the Fiat 500 but far fewer have been made, so they are much rarer and more unique. The bodywork is the same, they were all made in Italy, then shipped to Graz and the Austrians fitted their own proprietary boxer engine, synchronised gearbox and proprietary electronics, and the Steyr-Puch was born. Italian design, Austrian precision, and the result is a very reliable, very cute little car that makes people everywhere smile and everyone happy! The Puchs really are a pleasure to drive anywhere, whether it's a drive in the countryside or any kind of veteran's reunion.
Although the S Puchs were made towards the end of production, so only the engine was changed to a Puch by the Austrians, I still love this car because it is quiet, reliable and even though the 4 speed gearbox is not synchronized, that's what I love the most about it!
