"The Most Beautiful Car Ever Made" - Enzo Ferrari
If you're going to do it, do it right with a Cool Classic among Cool Classics: the Jaguar E-type 3. 8 FHC.
The long nose, the thick hips, and sensual lines come to life with Silver/ Grey and a red leather interior. She's like a proper lady sneaking eye contact at the Christmas table while you're engaged in a serious conversation with your father-in-law. Elegant, yet with just the right touch of mischief.
The E-type Series I was introduced in Europe on March 15, 1961, at the Geneva Motor Show and in the United States in April of the same year at the New York Motor Show. When the car was first unveiled, Enzo Ferrari called it 'The most beautiful car ever made'. To this day, he's right!
The Series 1 featured a 3. 8-liter inline-six engine under the hood derived from the XK150S, a renowned and proven powerplant. All E-types came with independent suspension and power-assisted disc brakes on all four wheels, two unusual features for that time. The 3. 8-liter versions had leather bucket seats and a centrally placed brushed aluminum instrument panel.
Take a seat in the red leather bucket, gaze over the bullet-shaped hood, and grasp the sporty gear lever. Only then will you understand why we've placed this one on our personal favorites list too.
