Description
1993 Honda CBR900RR in iconic Fireblade colours
Rare bike in standard and original condition (except Silencer)
I purchased this bike around 5 years ago and have probably ridden it less than 500 miles in that time. Ive spent around 3K on fettling it to get everything running nicely. This includes, new tyres, chain and sprockets (rear supersprox). Fully reconditioned on purchase at Chippenham motorcycles which include a full carb strip down and rebuild. New fuel hoses. Braided brake lines.
A great honest bike ready to go to anew home. I don't have a garage anymore and its stored at my parents house so has to go.
Background on the Bike History
The Honda Motor Company was founded by Soichiro Honda in 1937, initially producing piston rings for Toyota. They made their first motorcycle in 1949 and within 10 years had become the biggest motorcycle manufacturer in the world, going on to make over 400 million two-wheelers as well as millions of other power products. The launch of the four cylinder CB750 in 1969 ushered in the 'superbike' boom in the seventies and the arrival of the CBR900 Fireblade in 1992 set a new benchmark for sports bike performance. Now in its 30th Anniversary year, the very name 'Fireblade' still sets hearts racing.
This very original first generation model is presented in the classic early Fireblade colours, so iconic that Honda has reprised the scheme on this year’s 30th Anniversary celebration model. The Tadao Baba designed bike was a game changer in its day and is surely going to become a future classic, especially presented in standard and original condition like this one.
A fast appreciating classic.
