Description
More photos to come! She has no interior, the underneath is in very good condition for her age - as she's an Australian import, this was the reason I chose to buy this van.
She does have a few rust patches along the body work, but wheel arches and general structural strength are very good. A side panel of the van that I believe the previous owners replaced, has more rust - it's riveted on, so if the buyer would want to replace that eventually or just rust treat it and keep it on there, that would be their choice, it appears to be very much on the surface and I can't see it being difficult to remove.
I got the van valued, and I'm advertising it at the reduced price recommended for a quicker sale. Reasonable offers can be considered. I think she's a lovely van and would make a fantastic camper for someone willing to put in some work.
Recent works have been done on the engine and fuel lines (11. 03. 2024), the images of the invoice of works are included in the pictures. We have been advised that one of the carburettors will need some attention in the future, if the buyer intends on doing longer journeys. Any other questions, please get in touch. Reluctantly selling our VW camper. She's a 1974, Australian import, Dormobile, 1. 8 Petrol Engine and RHD and automatic. I'm unable to invest in the van and don't currently have the time for the project - a plan that never really got off the ground, so I had to make the difficult decision to sell up. She's currently in Surrey, if you are looking to buy a van like this in Surrey/ near London, please get in touch as soon as you can and we can arrange a viewing at a suitable time for you.
