Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1600 HF, 1971
Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1600 HF, year 1971 (first registration 30 June 1971). Chassis (VIN) number 818. 740. 002. 688, engine number 818. 540. 226. 4676. Colour red combined with a black interior. This magnificent Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1600 HF of the second series is in a wonderful and very good condition, and the car drives perfectly. The car was purchased via Italian car dealer Maasland forty years ago, and from 1986 an extensive restoration started. The restoration was executed by restoration firm Klink, and the car was finished by Pauw Classic Cars, both in the Netherlands. The interior was modified with modern Recaro rally seats with 4-point safety harnesses, a full roll cage was fitted, and a larger aluminium petrol tank was installed. In place of the original petrol tank storage space was created. The original seats are still present. This Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1600 HF comes with a very extensive history file. The Lancia Fulvia HF models were very successful in the rally competitions in the 1960s and early 1970s. A combination of light weight, front wheel drive, excellent grip on the road, superb road holding, and a highly tuned V4 engine proved to be the right recipe for many rally successes! The Coupé 1600 HF was originally sold without bumpers, and the interior was reduced to the essential. Flared wheel arches were added to make possible the fitment of wider wheels and tires. Only 3690 examples of the Coupé 1600 HF were built of which a small proportion in a more civilised “Lusso” trim with more interior trim, sound proofing and bumpers. Nowadays Fulvia Coupé HF cars are highly sought after by collectors, and to be entered in International Historic rally events. This wonderful and very good example was beautifully restored over 35 years ago and was cherished by a Lancia collector for many years. A great opportunity for the Lancia collector/ enthusiast.
This Lancia is for sale at Montagna d’Oro.
