Description
Land rover series 1 80 inch from 1952. This was the last car sold in Belgium before the gendarmerie order. The car is a barn puller. All the mechanical parts are original, the engine runs and the car drives. The brakes don't work, but it's possible to take it for a test drive on my land. It has the copper plate of the importer for Belgium, Pilette (rare). Like all the bodywork, the front is also made of aluminium (unusual) and the fuel tank is made of galvanised steel. I don't have the documents (there was no certificate of conformity at the time anyway). I also own the centre of the steering wheel, which is in very good condition (not shown in the photos) and a home-made hardtop that needs to be renovated. Very good restoration project.
