Description
JAGUAR XK8 4. 2S Premium £15995 ono.
I am reluctantly selling my superb 85, 500 miles 2005 XK8 4. 2S Premium convertible. The paintwork is an attractive metallic Quartz grey with contrasting ivory leather interior and black convertible hood. The car was registered in January 2005 during the last year of X100 production. The 4. 2 litre engine is coupled to the 6-speed automatic transmission giving lively performance, or seductive effortless cruising as required and returns about 22 mpg.
The Premium specification had a number of items as standard over the XK8 which included:
- Headlight power-wash
- Heated front (and rear) windscreen
- Mirror pack - power fold-back and heated door mirrors
- Rain sensing windscreen wipers
- Rear parking assist
- Xenon headlights with automating headlight levelling and smoked reflectors
- All leather rim steering wheel and gear knob with chrome sides
- Aluminium pack - dials and J-gate surround
- Memory pack - driver's seat, steering position and door mirrors
- Heated front seats
- Sports leather upholstery
This particular car has the grey Birds Eye Maple veneer, cruise control and automatic speed-limiter. The FM Radio Cassette audio system is supplemented by the in-boot 6 CD auto-changer. An aftermarket Parrot CK3100LCD hands-free telephone kit connects a modern mobile phone to the audio-system. The climate control is ice cold and an aftermarket wind-blocker has been fitted. The convertible roof is clean, no tears, in excellent condition and operates smoothly.
Exterior features include body coloured boot-lip spoiler with a chrome boot plinth that includes a push-button boot release. Red Growler wheel centre caps and OEM Pirelli P-Zero's (4+mm) are fitted to the 19" Atlas wheels. The Stage 1 Adamesh sports exhaust gives just enough lovely V8 burble.
The car has been regularly serviced by its previous owners and it comes with a 'huge' history file containing the MOT certificates and receipts for the work completed over the last 19 years to ensure the car has been kept in first class condition. The Jaguar document pack includes the original Jaguar Service Portfolio booklet which records the services carried out by the Jaguar dealers and independents. Two keys are included one of which retains the supplying dealers key-fob.
When not in use the car is garaged and covered by a new indoor car cover and the battery is maintained by a C-TEK conditioner. The car is currently used at weekends, holidays and classic car events covering about 3000 miles a year. It is seasonally SORN’d from October until Spring.
This is an absolutely superb example of an appreciating modern classic, driving exactly how it should. The sale is reluctant due to health issues. The car was serviced and MOTd on 14th August 2024 with no advisories. Servicing:
