Description
The car to date has undergone initial restoration with the body having been removed and all imperfections rectified. Whilst the body was off all of the brake system and necessary hydraulic pipe work and brake shoes were replaced. The engine is removed and completely stripped ready for reassembly with new pistons and liners provided. As you will see from the photos it has been changed to a four door convertible with the floor and door pillars having been fully strengthened. The hood mechanism is from a Corniche and the bodywork has been adjusted so that the hood folds fully down into the boot area. Apart from carpet material and mohair for the hood all parts are with the car although some parts such as the chrome still need restoration. There is a new set of cream leather skins for recovering the seats and the gearbox is still in bubblewrap following complete overhaul by the specialist company in Birmingham. Similar conversions have recently sold in excess of £400, 000. My reason for selling is a combination of age and lack of finance due to retirement.
