Description
I offer my Jaguar XJ6 Series 3, 4. 2 Litre, Sovereign for sale, with just 48k miles. Manufactured on 19th May 1984 It was dispatched to Caffyns of Eastbourne on 23rd May 1984, spec’d with the Claret external paint and Doe Skin Leather Trim Pack.
This is a private sale, the log book (V5) is in my name, MOT until May 2025 although now over 40 years old it is eligible for Tax, MOT and ULEZ exemption. HPI Clear. I bought the XJ6 in 2020 as a project when it was off the road. It had been sitting for 10 years previously in an underground car park. The structure of the car is robust, no rot underneath and all original panels intact with no accident damage. Its careful restoration was largely cosmetic and has been supervised by me, a Jaguar Enthusiast member, costing just over £11k. When the Jaguar was recommissioned both fuel tanks where drained, with new fuel pump, filter and auxiliary tank switch (solenoid). The car has had a full (windows out) respray, the headlining has been replaced, wheels fully refurbished, perished chrome replaced – which was widespread. All 4 corners replaced with Bridgestone tyres. There is an extensive file of bills and receipts that come with the car. This includes its Jaguar heritage certificate. I have further images at each stage of restoration available on request.
The XJ6 is in full working order, everything has been checked and repaired. All the electrics work, trip computer, radio (new automatic electric aerial), automatic air conditioning (new compressor, dryer and condenser), central locking and electric side mirrors.
Genuine reason for sale, I have acquired another classic and need to move this on. I have brought the XJ6 to a very highly presentable condition. I believe this provides an excellent base for someone else to take it further to concours or museum level.
