100th Anniversary 1200 XL Sportster. Lovely bike, 12k miles and a recent service including plugs, leads and new Harley Davidson Dunlop tyres. I am selling this bike as I am barely using it due to family commitments and the lack of a required commute to work. As the pictures show, this bike has been looked after over the years and still retains its original two-tone anniversary paintwork. This is the last of the carb engined rigid mount Sportsters and is characterfully 'Harley Davidson' as a result. This bike is an original 1200 and is NOT a conversion from an 883. These bikes are light, handle beautifully and are powerful enough to ride two-up, or with touring gear. This bike could be made immaculate and showed- it is in lovely condition, but is 20 years + old, so I would ask anyone who comes to look at it to bear this in mind. a recent search revealed a seller wanting over £1200 for just the tinwork of one of these models, and it wasn't in the condition of the tank and guards on this bike! I have enjoyed owning this bike- it is a joy to ride and it gets admiring glances wherever I go on it. I will be sad to see it go, but it needs to be ridden and enjoyed by its new owner. This bike is cheap for what it is- I have looked elsewhere and I have struggled to find better for the money, but I would challenge you to convince me otherwise!
