1980 Kawasaki KZ1300B Touring.
Imported from America.
One UK owner (me) who registered it here in 2022 on an age related 1980 "V" plate, full V5C in my name.
Naturally, it's Tax and MOT exempt.
Mileage as shown in the photo of the clocks.
Bought as a lockdown project which needed a partial strip down to replace the water pump drive which was done successfully.
The huge and incredibly heavy touring fairing was removed and Z900 handlebars were fitted instead of the daft and very uncomfortable stock American pull back ones.
The fairing is included, although the screen is broken.
I can also include free of charge two more fairings and two sets of panniers, plus the rear framework with two top boxes if you have a big enough van!
A silencer was rotten so a pair of 1300 Voyager silencers were fitted, which actually look far better with the panniers fitted.
One pannier lid was replaced, which is missing the pinstripes.
The inside of the petrol tank was a bit grim so I took it to Andy Malton in Pickering who completely cleaned it out and gave the internals a zinc passivated coating, so it's as brand new now.
The bike has a few chips and bits of striping needing touching in, but it's incredibly clean and can be seen to have never been used in bad weather as all those awkward areas that you can never reach are free from any sign of dirt or corrosion.
I've only used the bike a few times on short and good weather rides, and it's incredible to ride and smooth as silk.
Unfortunately it's started to run rough and feel like it's misfiring after about ten miles, which online info seems to point to an ignition coil problem, maybe the igniter, but I don't really have time to dedicate to sorting it due to a new job role and having acquired other interests.
