Description
I imported this great little van a few years back from a friend in the centre of France. We use it on our small farm and thereabouts in Surrey so it isn’t in pristine condition bodily but it’s holding up well. We’ve have a recon gearbox and clutch fitted along with an alternator, electronic ignition, a battery and a tyre. It goes well, doesn't need tax nor MoT. Its chassis is fine but the bodywork warrants some TLC or just love it as it is?
Original French documents, handbook and number plates too - speedo changed to MPH but original one included. Seatbelts fitted here. I’m getting too old to enjoy it now but it’s got years left for you to have fun with it. I have also fitted new seat covers and heater hoses so that just because it takes longer to get wherever you go you’ll be warm and comfy!
The chassis is pretty much rust-free but the front floor has been plated over a long time ago. The front bumper is new as the original one was damaged so long ago that even the pop rivets were failing! Looks good now!It was used from new in the Chatellerault area and its original owner made copious notes of its performance in the handbook - all in pencil and, of course, in French. We have its French MoTs up to 2018 and a decent invoice for a new clutch etc from back in 2016. The French log book was surrendered to obtain UK registration but we have a copy. The van is signwritten with an amateur flying society ULM. It has a plywood lining to the loadspace and a sturdy roof rack that is easily removed.
