new battery, The super v8's were top of the range XJ, they have every option that was available at the time, too much to list here, a 400hp supercharged v8, very fast, smooth and quiet. this car spent the first 15 years in Japan so no rust etc the underneath is almost as new, for a 19 year old car the overall condition is amazing
