Description
Just rebuilt v8 Amazon, has had lots done to it in the last 18 months including:
Replaced AHC suspension, with new springs, torsion bars (ome) Koni rear shocks and uprated gas front, new upper tca’s and have poly bushes to fit for lower wishbones.
Resprayed black (except the roof) and 2 coats of lacquer.
Repairs to rear tailgate upper (new metal used)
Rear near side wheel arch (new metal)
4 inch strip welded into the cross section opposite to the top panhard rod mounting.
Chassis was rubbed back and was in good condition so treated it internally with rust converter then outside was stripped and 3 coats of stone chip applied.
New brakes including the handbrake dog bone mod which makes them work!
I repainted the leather with Dakota beige to brighten it up (bmw colour).
Has brass heater “t”s not plastic.
It has just had the prins lpg system serviced in Poole by the company that fitted it. It has the additional autolube system also, so no burnt valves.
It has full Toyota history up to 120k then it was serviced locally by a brilliant little garage in Bournemouth which I have subsequently used and would recommend to anyone(and have done !)
It has a stainless catback power flow exhaust which sounds awesome (not loud inside)
It drives better now without the AHC as it’s quite stiff but it doesn’t crash over potholes.
I just had to put a new tyre on it as it picked up some metal in it.
Spare is in the boot, I have the two rear seats and its parcel shelf also.
Aircon also recharged last week and it needs a pressure switch which is on order so will for that, I bridged it and it was blowing out freezing cold! - Now fixed with the new swtich!
I need an economical estate as my company car has gone back now and this was a project to be a toy for occasional use… but it’s now my daily.
