Reluctantly selling my 2. 5V8 due to lack of use.
I bought the car from its previous owner of over 30 years who carried out an extensive restoration. This included tackling all the usual areas of the model and the underside is sound and solid. The engine and gearbox were both rebuilt at the time and the bodywork resprayed in light metallic blue.
The paint has held up well after 30 years no doubt helped by being garage throughout. Close inspection reveals it is not a perfect finish but it still turns heads and looks stunning.
Since acquisition I have flushed the cooling system and fitted a Revotec electric radiator fan. The brakes have been uprated with a higher capacity servo, with new engine mounts and poly bushes fitted to the front suspension. The carbs have been tuned and stainless steel exhaust system fitted. Four new Tyres of correct spec.
The original leather seats are dark blue and in nice condition with no tears or splits. Headlining is sound and the woodwork and carpets are in excellent condition.
The engine is really responsive and pulls strong and smooth with no smoke. Both temperature and oil pressure gauges show steady and correct readings.
I have a comprehensive history file with the car with invoices for all the work carried out.
Only selling as a protracted restoration project has to be finished and the Daimler stands idle a lot of the time. Competitively priced to sell. £13000 ono
