Description

We have owned the vehicle for twenty years with four previous owners, purchasing from a local VW Campervan dealer / restorer. The model is a "Devon" factory conversion with many of the original features. The interior furniture has been replaced and new interior lighting added. There is a pop top roof, two fold away canvas bunk beds (good for storage or child beds) and a 3/ 4 width rock and roll bed which has new mattress cushions. The passenger front seat rotates to face into the campervan . A two ring gas cooker is fitted and works, however the fridge has never worked fully and is used purely to keep items chilled with ice packs. The sink and water container have been removed as these were impractical to use.

A reconditioned "Vege" engine had been installed prior to our purchase and during the twenty years we have driven just 14, 000 miles in total. The vehicle is maintained every year by a local VW Campervan specialists "Beetle Magic" and we have repaired or replaced any items deemed worn or at end of working life mechanically and structurally by them. As a result this camper has never broken down or let us down! We use the camper for camping holidays, days out local events such as festivals.

Two years ago we registered the vehicle as "historical" so there is no road tax or requirement for an MOT, but please note we have always maintained a full MOT for safe driving and peace of mind. The MOT was last issued in June 2024. We have retained all receipts for work carried out over this period. Three years ago we decided to have the body work looked at as rust was becoming apparent in the usual areas. This resulted in a more detailed removal and renewal of much of the bodywork panels, doors, front section and replacing parts of the structural chassis when identified to be in poor condition.

We have photos of all the areas we restored and details of each section that was repaired or replaced. the vehicle was totally resprayed in the bright yellow and white colours.

It was our ambition to renovate and update the interior next , but we have decided that this is an individual decision and should be left for any buyer to choose the interior they would like. This vehicle has been lovingly kept in roadworthy, safe condition and used frequently for local recreational use. Our annual milage is low and the vehicle is kept in a ventilated garage and lovingly cared for by us. The camper has always started, and drives like a dream.
