Description
Your chance to own a piece of automotive history. This beautiful MGB LE with fantastic history has to be seen to be believed. With only 9980 fully authenticated miles driven in its 43 years it drives like a new car and even smells like a new car. It is original in every respect with the exception of the seats. The original brown and orange cloth seats have been recovered in black leather with red piping and includes a leather covered centre console to match. The paint work is unblemished and a review by the MG Owners Club in Cambridge confirmed its condition and authenticity. As they said, it's only original once. Full history showing service, every MOT and invoice from new. Still has both dealer supplied keys. You will not find a better example anywhere with this incredible mileage. Unfortunately lack of space is the only reason for the sale. This MGB LE was originally owned by the wife of a BL garage owner and only covered 3, 500 miles until she passed away in 2017. The car was discovered by the National Trust who inherited the estate locked up in the garage, where it had been stored for 35 years. It was put up for auction and fully recommissioned in 2017. This unique MGB LE is number 298 of the last 421 Roadsters built to celebrate the 50 years of MG as the factory in Abingdon closed. It has unique MG LE graphics, GKN four spoke alloy wheels (Triumph Stag design but specially remade to fit the MG). The hood is unmarked and fully functioning. Included is a hood cover and an unused, in the original packaging, full tonneau cover. MG branded mud flaps front and rear. Un-marked and lustrous Bronze metallic paint finish. Overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears and a factory fit radio. A full service history and a record file showing and documenting this cars unique history and journey. Winner of the National Car Club Of The Year at the 2019 MG Live event at Silverstone (certificated). MOT to April 2025. Recorded on the MG Register (19820).
