Description
Beautiful, genuine MGB in Tartan red with OEW original hardtop, sitting on pressed steel wheels, with overdrive.
I have owned a number of classic cars but have kept this MGB for 12 years due to it being reliable and therefore, so easy to live with and enjoy. Completely rebuilt to standard specification, other than sensible upgrades, between 1997 - 2000, on a British Heritage shell. I understand the rebuild was undertaken by a retired Engineer and on completion, it was MOT'd with zero miles, with nearly 19, 000 miles completed since. There are 2 large A4 files detailing the history including the rebuild and I have the MOT's since. I purchased the car in 2012 from an enthusiast having asked the respected MG Motorsport to assess the car prior to purchase, their assessment being that I should buy the car and if I didn't, they would! I have used it quite regularly but generally for short pleasure trips over the years and never taken out when roads wet/ salty. The trusted garage which maintains my cars have long said that it is the nicest, most genuine classic that they look after. The MOT has just been renewed, the full history being available on the DVLA website. It isn't concours but has a light patina. It has a MGOC valuation of £24, 000 but I believe a fair price to be £15995. No offers and serious proceedable buyers only please. Refurbishment in 2000,
19, 000 miles
