Refurbished in 1999 (Garaged ever since), Engine Rebuild in 2003, Tuned on a rolling road 2018, achieving 110bhp. Very solid, very reliable and very driveable. Used for several long road trips over my 10 years of ownership. Over the last couple of years, new parts have included alternator, tyres and 12v battery, replacing the twin 6v ones. The interior is very presentable.
The mohair hood fits and folds well, with no rips.
The paintwork looks great at first glance, but is not immaculate, with patches of bubbling and the odd scuff. It wouldn't take too much work to smarten the bodywork up though. I considered a respray recently, but the bodyshop I consulted had a good look all round and underneath, and he said
"It's very solid and well protected underneath, and there's not much improvement necessary. I could respray, but then you'd want to drive it less... just go and drive it, and bring back in five or so years"I bought the car 10 years ago, and it's the perfect colour combination, and turns heads on every trip. It has only let me down once, which was the alternator. This car is ready to be enjoyed, and will come with a windbreak, which makes cruising at 70 very comfortable. Contact me to view and drive or yourself.
