Description
The particular vehicle was profoundly restored by myself during the last 10 years and came back to the road in 2022. It was ridden as solo bike for 2 years and was fitted with a rare Noxal sidecar form 1937. The chassis of the sidecar is fully restored, whereas the boat is in sand-blasted condition and has to be painted and assembled. All chrome parts for the sidecar are rechromed for reassembly.
The bike for sale has superb driving performance with galore engine displacement. These bikes are rarely on the market, so this is a once in a lifetime occasion.
Due to personal reasons I have to sell the sidecar before the finish of the restoration. But most of the work is done already. The sidecar frame is adjusted and bolted to the bike frame. The sidecar wheel has been rebuilt to match the design of the bike wheels. The boat has a wooden frame with metal skin. All chrome parts have been restored. Shipping will be done as combination with the bolted boat to the frame. The KX was the flag ship of the British motorcycle industry before WW2. These bikes stood in those days for pure luxury combined with all day reliability.
The KX bikes are registered in a worldwide data base which I still hold as administrator. There are approx. 35 of these bikes on the road today. Another 37 frame numbers to be under restauration. All in all Royal Enfield built 700 of these mighty bikes. All frame numbers and details of the bikes are known to the KX data base today. The new owner will get access to this exclusive datapool since it is restricted to owners only.
In case of further questions do not hesitate to contact me. Have a look at my other bike for sale a rare RE J2 silver bullet.
