Description
This is my Aston Martin DBR1 Replica. It is a MEV kit based on a 1999 Mazda MX5 1. 8s.
The build took me about 7 years on and off between house moves, work ect..
It is painted in Aston Martin racing green, lots of these kits are just left in the dull gel coat colours.
MOT until July 26th 2025.
When the car was built i uprated all of the suspension, everything is polybushed and it sits on Gaz gold Pro coilovers.
I wanted this to be a road legal race car so the suspension is quite harsh. You could very easily just put the standard MX5 suspension back on if you wanted a softer ride (I still have most of it)
Just had a brand new battery this week.
There is a slight defect on the rear bodywork, some petrol spilt on to the painted not long after I had it sprayed. This can be fixed prior to a sale if required.
Theres lots I could write about the car, but I think you'd loose interest. If you want to know more just send a message.
I am only selling it as I want to build another kit car and need the funds from the sale.
It will come with a DBR1 related Reg plate. It turns heads wherever it goes. You'll never be short of admirers driving the DBR1.
Its exhilarating to drive, the feel of speed is immense.
There are no doors and no roof, so you'll need to be fairly agile to hop in and out. Some people do add doors, its not overly difficult.
