BMW's philosphy has always been to produce dedicated roadsters that hardly ever reveal all their qualities in the first five minutes of riding. Once you have lived with a BMW you begin to understand this philosophy.

The BMW R850R is the embodiment of this thinking. Powered by the smallest capacity Boxer engine in BMW's range at the time, the 848cc flat-twin is extremely easy to ride and control. It is perfect machine for born-again bikers, or experienced riders requiring a fuss-free, all purpose, commuting and fun machine in one easy to ride package.

This BMW R850R has had 4x keepers inclusive of the current owner, having exceptionally low mileage of 10700 miles (which will increase with use) and presents very well for a motorcycle of its age.

This BMW R850R is a UK supplied and registered vehicle and has been owned by the current owner since May 2022.

Most of the weight of the BMW Boxer is low-down, and with the seat adjusted to the lowest of its 3-positions, both feet can make good contact with the ground. The addition of the lowered footpegs just providing that extra distance not the cramp the legs.

The intention was to keep this shaft-drive BMW R850R as a touring motorcycle, with some mild customisation adding a RS-style/ Cafe Racer fairing. However, this BMW was in too good a condition to be altered.
