Description
Vanden Plas Princess 3 Litre MK2 Automatic transmission with just over 86, 000 miles covered.
Finished in black with grey green interior, very rare combination, and is a genuine original black car and not the more common 2 tone colour combination.
The Vanden Plas was built 24th - 30th April 1964 then was dispatched on the 15th June 1964 to the BMC dealer Henleys LTD in Bristol. 1st registered on the 15th July 1964, making this a very late example in the production run.
In 1968 the car was exported to Jersey where the car remained until 2022 when she returned to the mainland and was re registered in 2023.
The car retains its original sills, and the outriggers have not been boxed over, but the outriggers do require some attention. Front and rear valances are solid and complete, the car has the more desirable twin pipe exhaust system, which is a must on these models.
The engine has good oil pressure and pulls well, Automatic transmission changes gear nicely and kicks down, the car also starts and stops well.
The interior is original retaining the thick pile carpets and Vanden Plas grey green leather interior and wooden dashboard, door cappings and rear passenger picnic tables. Also has Britax Inertia reel front seatbelts fitted from new.
The exterior of the car is presentable but could be improved with not a huge amount of effort, or could just be enjoyed as she is.
Delivery can be arranged at the buyers cost, please ask for a delivery quote, cleared funds via bank transfer will need to be showing before the car is delivered, or cash on collection.
Any questions please ask.
