For sale is my 1997 Volvo V70R Auto
Genuine reason for the sale, ive always had german cars and this really isnt for me so id like to move it on and get back into something german
I have owned the car since February and i purchased it after it being off the road since 2016, since purchasing the car i have had replaced:
All 4 tyres with 215/ 45/ 17/ 91V Kumho’s
All round genuine discs and pads, minus the fronts as the front brake pads are no longer available from volvo
Genuine volvo oil cooler supply line due to an oil leak
Genuine volvo coolant bottle and cap
Genuine volvo spark plugs, pollen filter, air filter
Genuine used volvo power steering pump
Genuine volvo cam seal due to an oil leak
Alloy wheel centre caps
Tailgate boot struts
Tailgate panel repair kit
Heater matix and coolant
Drivers master switch- ive had to wire in a LHD switch as RHD switches are no longer available and are hard to come across used, but it also doesnt fit into the door card very well, but it does fully function
Managed to source a rear facing 3rd row of seats so have just had those fitted, these can come with the car for extra otherwise as they will be removed before sale
Sunroof does work, has heated seats, cruise control, central locking etc, all standard V70R options
I do have a service book but due to the car being off the road since 2016 it does have partial service history
Im sure theres various other small things ive missed
Since getting it back on the road i have covered around 3000 miles
However, it does have some issues:
Mechanical:
-Passenger rear window doesnt work
-Recently intermittently the abs/ tcs light comes on, but ive read up that its the solder inside the abs ecu so that could be a relatively simple fix, however its now off more often than its on
-Slight knock from nsf when going over bumps but that side also does currently have a split cv boot so that could be related
-Oil leak as per MOT advisory but i haven’t got this looked into
-A/ C doesnt work but i found the A/ C to be leaking from the A/ C line seals that bolt onto the compressor, i do have new seals for this so this could be potentially fixed before the sale or the seals can be included
-Handbrake isnt the best
-Wheel alignment is out, not massively but it is noticeable
Cosmetic:
-Headliner has a small tear and is dirty so unfortunately this will require replacement
-All the seats do have a fair amount of wear so they could do with being lightly restored
-Previous owner had the rear bumper cut to allow for the dual exhaust tips and it wasnt done very well, however there are some exhaust bumper surrounds in the boot that could be fitted, but they also arent great
-There is lacquer peel to the spoiler and to both mirror caps
-All the wheels are curbed
-Overall exterior body work isnt the greatest but it is a 26 year old car so it is presentable
-There is an orange/ brown stain to the rear seat backrests/ carpet on the drivers side, but i have tried to wet/ dry vac the carpet and the stain is slowly coming out
Sold as seen, its a 26 year old car so i am sure there may be other little things ive missed
Highly recommend viewing, listed elsewhere so i can remove this if it sells on another site

Private reg has been removed and its now on the standard reg which is R216 LFW
