Description
I’ve owned this MGB for 18 months but unfortunately the house we are moving to only has a single garage and that is spoken for. I paid £11, 500 from a specialist classic car dealer advertising on this site in April 2023 .
She is British Racing Green with 5 excellent chrome wire wheels and new Michelin tyres . The rest of the chrome bright work is new and sparkles beautifully in the sunshine .
The engine is a standard 1800cc rebuilt with an unleaded head, oil pressure is 50 both on start up and when hot . Temperature remains just under normal even in hot weather .
Gearbox with overdrive on 3rd and 4th has smooth changes with a positive feel .
Seats are brand new as are the black (red piped) door panels. The steering wheel is a Mountney classic alloy one . The hood is almost new as are the hood sticks . The car comes with a full tonneau cover . Over £7000 was spent on renovation some years ago with a full set of photographs of the restoration, the car has only done 3446 miles since then !
Bodywork is gleaming in the BRG , there is a small dent on the front of the alloy bonnet which was there when I purchased the car but not a significant detractor.
The new exhaust system is stainless steel.
The car runs looks and sounds exceptional with no known faults both mechanically and bodily .
4 owners from new . In summary an excellent unspoiled original MGB roadster ! Current mileage, which I believe to be genuine is 52789, I have mot certificates going back to year 2000 when the mileage was 49, 343 so she has done 3, 446 in the last 24 years
Located and garaged near TOWCESTER M1 junction 15a and M40 junction 10 . I have all registration certificates from when the car was first sold on
04/ 06/ 1970 there are four previous owners two of whom are husband and wife
