Selling my SL500, this is a rare limited edition 1 of only 40 right hand drive cars built for the 40th anniversary of Sir Stirling Moss winning the Mille Miglia. Very low mileage of only 64k, this is a top of the range V8 model with lots of extras that only came with this special edition. Ideal for any collector or enthusiast to enjoy. Bodywork is brilliant Metallic Silver with special red & black leather interior plus carbon fibre trim. This car has recently been very well looked after by a leading Mercedes Benz specialist and comes with a long MOT till April 2025 (no advisories).
Powered by the 5. 0-litre M119 DOHC V8 engine producing 330bhp, enthusiasts will recognise this as the same engine from the iconic Mercedes 500E. Driven through the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. This modern classic comes with the following unique spec:
• Genuine Evo II 6-spoke 17inch polished alloy wheels (from the 190E 2. 5-16 Evolution II)
• Chequered flag accents on the front wings

The car was dry garage stored for around 8 years after the previous owner sadly passed away. The partner of the former owner then had the car fully recommissioned by the SL Shop, who are a highly regarded Mercedes-Benz specialist based in Stratford-Upon-Avon. There are receipts for over £3. 5k of work including:
• Draining and flushing fuel tank
• New Bosch battery
• Full engine service
• Suspension bushings replaced, including front/ rear anti-roll bushings
• Detailed condition report prepared by MTech Automotive Engineering, before mechanical work completed for MOT, which it passed first time with no advisories
• New front and rear disc brakes/ pads
• New distributor caps
• New bonnet insulation pad
During my ownership, both the front electric seat motors and switches have been serviced plus 4 brand new Dunlop tyres fitted. All switches and interior features are in perfect working condition.
Overall the bodywork condition good, with no signs of any rust or corrosion issues on any panels or the underside. Some minor imperfections such as scuffs and stone chips in the paintwork to be expected for a car of this age and can be easily addressed by the new owner to make perfect.
Private registration plate ‘M50OMM’ is included with the sale. The car is a 1996 model and shows 5 former keepers on the logbook. No accident history and is HPI clear. Complete with 2 sets of genuine Mercedes remote key fobs. There are lots of other high specification features as standard, including electric/ heated seats, automatic air conditioning, auto-dimming, electric soft top and factory hard top, electric fully adjustable leather steering wheel, locking wheel nuts fitted to alloys.
