Description
1954. It has its original engine, frame & registration as is verified by the original Buff Card Log Book that is with it. It has benefitted from recent expenditure of £4, 500 which included the fitting of an Alton ELECTRIC STARTER which works very well indeed especially as the magneto has been converted to auto advance. It is clearly a much older restoration which is now showing its age with various chips that have been touched in, some light micro-blistering on the fuel tank and some light pitting/ dulling of the chrome. It starts very well both on the electric and kick. It ticks over beautifully probably due to having a new carburettor. It runs and rides extremely well. The engine is very willing. It does have some 'piston slap' but it is minimal and it doesn't smoke once it has cleared its throat after initial cold startup. A very nice genuine little bike that has been nicely sorted but wouldn't win any Concours Events. Due to be featured in Real Classics Magazine shortly. TRADE. p/ x welcome.
