Description
The Chevronic Centre is delighted to present this remarkable 1978 Citroën GS Club, featuring a 1220 engine and a 4-speed gearbox. What truly sets this car apart is its incredibly low mileage—just 16, 000 genuine miles from new.
This GS has been cherished by its previous owner, who went to great lengths to ensure it reaches the right new owner, even transporting it from Devon to us here in Hitchin. Its immaculate condition today can partly be attributed to the service work and full wax injection we performed at The Chevronic Centre, helping preserve the vehicle beautifully over the years.
For added safety, rear inertia seat belts have been fitted by a previous owner, while a stainless steel rear exhaust back box enhances the smooth-running flat-four engine. The GS also boasts Michelin tyres, providing light steering and reduced road noise, and is equipped with aftermarket floor mats. If preferred, these can be removed to reveal the original carpets underneath.
One of the standout features of this car is its comprehensive service history file. It’s one of the best-organised records we've seen, containing everything from service history and MOT certificates to original Citroën dealer spec sheets and sales brochures.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that this GS is an award-winning car. While the photos show a few minor paint blisters, these are to be expected on a vehicle of its age and do not detract from its overall appeal.
If you're looking for a classic Citroën that's been carefully maintained and is ready for a loving new owner, this GS Club could be the perfect fit. Feel free to get in touch to arrange a viewing or for more details.
