Description
1972 Drixton Honda CB450 Classic Race Bike. New build, unridden, one of the last Asa Moyce Drixton frames. Built by myself to ride in the Classic TT / Manx Grand Prix at a cost of over £15, 000 but unused. Top spec bike, no expense spared built from all new parts. Full Maxton suspension front and rear, fully adjustable forks, new Excel wheel rims, large fuel tank, rain light, catch bottles and oil containment as per Isle of Man regulations. Dave Swarbrick exhausts, Keihin CR35 carbs, 5 speed close ratio gearbox, PVL ignition, AP Racing master cylinder and caliper. The engine is fully rebuilt with many genuine NOS Honda parts including 6 spring clutch, new crankshaft and gearbox bearings. The cylinders are bored to 74mm giving 499cc and are fitted with Wiseco Racing pistons. The cylinder head is the later all alloy type and has been ported and converted to coil sping valve operation. Valves and springs with titanium keepers are from THR racing in the USA. Camshafts are Megacycle 120-X7 and Arrow conrods are fitted. The entire cam chain components have been replaced at a cost of £800 using NOS Honda parts and Franco Cappellini items. Other Cappellini items include adjustable camshaft sprockets, rotary oil pump, oil filter, oil cooler, external camshaft oil lines and more.
Also included are many spares including two sets of crankcases, 500 crank, two alloy cylinder heads, barrels, clutch and gearbox parts and three genuine Honda gasket sets.

The bike comes with NOVA certificate so can also be road registered to make the ultimate Cafe Racer!
