Eddie the Escort is in need of a new home, I acquired him 4 years ago and he has lived in my garage ever since then. Prior to that he was manufactured/ registered in 1997 - I have the original import certificate for him - before becoming owner by a Lady in 1999 who had him up until when I did
He was purchased from the Ford main dealer in Chipping Campden and was purchased with a lifetime service package but the Lady has lost the service history booklet
However I have been to the dealership and despite updating their computer system in 2005 I have managed to get from them duplicate stamped history from 17/ 10/ 2006 @ 23505 miles every year until 16/ 10/ 20 @ 30013 miles
He also had a new gearbox fitted on the 3rd April 2015 @ 28682
Obviously and clearly shown he needs some attention in certain areas to his bodywork and also requires a valet, however I think this is the only automatic version for sale anywhere in the UK at the time of writing this advert
He also hasn’t been for an mot since I purchased him so despite the fact that he drives very well (I fitted a new battery and took him out for a couple of miles) I would suggest that he is trailered away
He has the factory fitted sunroof, electric front windows, pas, central locking, 2 keys and the tools are all present in the back
Unfortunately the radio needs coding as fitting a new battery lost it !I purchased him with every intention of restoring him and keeping him due the uniqueness of the low mileage, his providence at only having 2 owners and one lady since 1999 and the fact that he is very rare being an auto
However I find as I get older I know longer have the enthusiasm to renovate him and so feel it’s time for him to have a new home
