Description
1992 Mini City. Please read the full listing
All old Mini's rust and this one was no exception, its undergone lots of work to get in the condition its in today but it is a classic car and will always need on-going maintenance, you can buy a cheaper Mini but then spend more money doing it up. Have a look at the pictures of the work done, my mindset when restoring was to remove any rust or rot, not hide with filler, the sills were rotten hidden with oversills, common area's around the windscreen, indicators and headlights were replaced with new panels, rear panel removed, brand new rear subframe and mounts sorted, wings, A -panels, all new. Look at the pictures.
Only covered 66, 600 miles!!
The Mini's restoration was completed over a couple of years, 2015 by Minimime Longton who completed the rear panel, boot floor, fitted rear subframe and rear valance along with a few other bits, then 2016 by Miniland Burton who did everything else including the paint, Miniland also supplied the modified 1275 engine.
Ive owned this car since 2014 with it changing ownership between my son and I with it now in my name on the V5. Registration is K166 NPX
Lots of work completed with photo's to show alongside a folder of bills and receipts.
Its had:
1275 with modified Kent 600 cam, (was originally a 998 but the engine was changed a while ago, DVLA notified and the V5 reflects this)
HIF 44 carb, K&N with road race RC50 exhaust with centre outlet. The engine has recently undergone a Rolling road tune up by racing specialists Aldon Automotive, the final rolling session returned just under 80BHP at 6000RPM showing 110MPH. The rolling road was done due to the fact the young MOT tester did not know how to set up the SU carb as shown on 2024's MOT (emmissions). The Mini now runs as it should, pulls really well and is a joy to drive.
LCB exhaust manifold.
The bodywork has had the following replaced:
Front wings
Front panel
Front valance
Rear panel
Windscreen scuttle
A panels
Outer sills
Rear 3/ 4 panels
Boot floor
Rear valance
Rear subframe with adjustable Hi-lows and Polyeurathene bushes
Front subframe mounts - front and rear, replaced on 2023 MOT
Rear brakes completly rebuilt due to poor handbrake performance as shown on 2023 MOT, was easier to replace the lot.
Front grill
The body shell is original
Stripped out interior with FIA spec Cobra bucket seats and 4 point harness, no heater, no radio, no rear seats
Sport steering wheel with it sitting lower than usual
JBW OS4 Turbo alloys with Yokohama's set on 25mm spacers
Flared modified arches
Just had new water pump, radiator, hoses, thermostat and fan as winter maintanance, MOT expiring 25. 04. 2025
There is a slight dent in the bootlid, fuel guage is iffy, engine temp gauge not working
Car is hardly used hence the sale, the mileage history shows this.
Great car that always gets looks and is good to go, outstanding colour with beautiful contrasting gold wheels.
