1928 Chenard & Walcker T11 Limousine
Hi and welcome to my listing for this beautiful and very rare Chenard & Walcker T11.
Reputedly one of only 5 ever manufactured, a rare motorcar even when new, but now could be the only one left?
Despite being 96 years of age, it still presents rather well indeed, looking resplendent in its red over cream paintwork.
Imported into the UK in 1990, it was subject to extensive restoration and recommissioning bringing it to its current state. It has been fitted with a 1960 Land Rover engine which fittingly matches the original 2. 2 litre capacity, this has been mated to the original gearbox using a conversion plate.
Running and driving well. It starts up easily and I have taken it out for a drive recently which was an enjoyable experience, the engine will no doubt make it that bit more reliable and user friendly to live with.
The interior is in lovely condition, the seats are finished in light brown velour with red piping which nicely match the exterior colour scheme. There are no rips or tears to the upholstery and the cabin is tidy and useable.
There are some imperfections here and there with evidence of previous paint repairs etc but nothing that detracts from the overall beauty of this imposing motorcar.
In recent times it has benefited from new Michelin period tyres all round.
Comes with owners manual (in French), old MOT certificates, handwritten notes, information about the model & club material.
Ideal to take to shows or for film/ TV/ wedding hire, indeed the previous owner used it for over 40 weddings during his ownership.
