Description
The La Salle Series 52 Special Coupe, produced from 1940, was one of the last models to bear the La Salle name. The La Salle brand was introduced by General Motors as a more affordable alternative to Cadillac, aiming to attract customers seeking luxury and style at a lower price. The Series 52 was built on the same platform as the Cadillac Series 61 and was distinguished by its smooth body lines, elegant curves, and robust engineering. Under the hood, it featured a 5277 cc V8 engine, providing excellent performance and smooth operation. Its manual transmission offered precise control over the ride. The car symbolized luxury and the advancement of the American automotive industry on the brink of World War II.
This particular La Salle Series 52 Special Coupe was purchased in the USA in 2019 and immediately underwent basic servicing. The car’s paintwork was completed in the United States, and no further work was needed on the paint in the Czech Republic. In 2020, the vehicle participated in the prestigious 1000 Miles of Czechoslovakia race, where it won in its category. Following the race, a complete engine overhaul was performed, after which the car has only covered about 1, 000 kilometers. This La Salle is in excellent condition, combining an elegant design with remarkable performance and reliability on the road.
