A hatchback with aggressive and bewitching features and innovative styling solutions made the Maserati Mistral one of the most beautiful cars produced by the marque.
It would also be the first in a long series of models named after the winds to represent its power, speed and unattainability.
Built in February 1964, this splendid car comes from an important Italian collection and has just undergone a lengthy restoration carried out by well-known specialists with no expense spared. According to information received by Fabio Collina, it was sold to the notary Ulisse Pizzi of Forlì, who was also a well-known gentleman driver.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to find the number of the first registration plate in 1964 in the Forlì motor vehicle registration office archives. The restoration work can be summarised as follows: - Water-based paint stripping of the bodywork at WWT - Complete tin-plating of the car by a craftsman from the former Cognolato coachbuilder's shop, a certain Giuliano Gionco.
- Painting of the car at Carrozzeria Grigoletto and re-assembly of the whole vehicle at Carrozzeria Roggia in Treviso - Chroming Galvanica in Spino D'Adda - Complete new interior by upholstery Cassina in Bergamo and finishing at La Perfetta in Padua - Engine totally rebuilt in a workshop in Monselice with replacement of bushings, piston rings, chain valves (Campana spare parts invoice available) - New exhaust system built to sample by Imasaf - Rebuild chassis and mechanics at workshop Bortolami in Padova - Gearbox overhaul at workshop Tralli in Modena - Overhaul of Lucas injection system at Power Props in Holland, a centre specialising in Lucas injections, the system is from 1964 and therefore correct for the vehicle.
- Complete set of new gaskets bought from Cicognani - Electrical system totally rebuilt and installed by electrician Luigi Collesei of Padua - Available list of spare parts bought from well-known specialist supplier - Restoration of spoked wheels at Borrani in Milan - New tyres bought from Rossi in Bologna. It is fitted with Borrani light alloy spoked wheels and is ready for immediate use.

PSC1560). In September 2019, the ASI certificate of historical and collectors' relevance was issued.
