Description
Vauxhall Victor FB Saloon. Successor to the F Series II in the summer of 1961, this new marque is distinguishable by lower body styling which feature sloping windscreen pillars, smooth body sides topped by a knife-edge moulding and a full-width radiator grille embodying single headlamps, with a four-cylinder, 1508-cc engine and four on the floor gearbox.
This 1962 Victor FB super has had a full bare metal nut and bolt restoration with no expense spared. The cost of the labour alone far exceeds the asking price. As you can see from the images it is in exceptional condition. It looks like a new car! The images show it has been disassembled to every component, refurbished and where needed replaced.
The engine has been entirely rebuilt with +10 thou on crank journals, 30 thou oversize pistons, new oil pump and all new bearings. Refurbished head, guides and hardened valve seats to run on modern petrol. In my ownership has only covered a couple of hundred miles so is still running in.
I purchased it in February this year with the intention of taking it to shows but poor weather and other commitments meant it only went out a handful of times. I now need to make some space in my garage so this and one of my classic bikes are reluctantly going up for sale.
It has had 10 previous owners and is currently MOTed till 2/ 02/ 2025. The car is Tax and MOT exempt but comes with current MOT till 02/ 02/ 2025.
Any inspection welcome by prior arrangement.
Asking price is £12995 ovno
