Description
I am very reluctantly having to sell this car for reasons of health and age- I am 86. I bought it in August 2022 from an Internet ad a phone call convincing me it was an honest deal so as it was a long way from home I didn't see it before I agreed the purchase. I was not disappointed and I have enjoyed my brief ownership very much. The blue colour attracted me because it is my favourite hue and not common on a Z4. The V5C shows 3 former keepers the one before me being a lady who had it for 12 years - it was the no. 2 car in the family and was driven purely for pleasure purposes. It is amazingly quiet for a sports car and drives very well on run flat tyres. It has demanded little work doing during my ownership, one job needed the boot lid replacing when bent by a careless driver in Sainsbury's car park -damage was slight but difficult to repair. It has all the usual BMW creature comforts you would expect in a top of the range car. The M-o-Ts have advisories concerning the brake discs not requiring immediate attention but I bought a full set with pads, shoes and a fitting kit just in case(see photos)also a pair of new carpets, and several other useful items. The documentation includes some service history , all the original handbooks relevant to the car and some receipts concerning work done , mainly just servicing. The electric hood works perfectly and there are no water leaks. According to the instrument readings service is not due for quite a while but as I usually change engine oil more regularly there is a gallon of the precious fluid and a new filter which I am physically unable to use. The cars original small tool kit lies unused in the boot. I have put it on a SORN before the end of September not wanting to waste another months tax, the M-o-T is OK to September 2025. Viewing any time by arrangement , phone preferred. I bought the registration number because I am a cat person. It stands for Neville Barr's Number 2 CAT. I will let it go with the car hoping the next owner will be a cat person too. The original no. plates are with the car in case that person doesn't like cats and so sells it on.
