The RE5 was well ahead of its time both in terms of engineering and styling, the rotary engine in a motorbike is a rare thing and Suzuki took the bull by the horns and built the RE5, they also added original touches such as the round dash console with an opening screen and matching tail light unit. Only 7000 of this model were produced worldwide of which only a few hundred were imported into France 1 m in c March 1979.
