The car has 146k miles ( New Supercharger fitted at 85k miles, at a cost of £1684 in 2011), comes with part history. When I bought it, at 138k miles, I had the oil & filter change, 8 new plugs fitted, and a K&N air filter fitted. Just before I bought it at had all new discs and pads fitted at all 4 corners, at considerable expense.
Full Stainless steel exhaust fitted, now sounds awesome.
One of the really common problems on the S-type is rotten cills, so I removed the plastic covers to reveal........ rotten cills ! So, I bought 2 new cills, had all the rot cut out and new metal welded in and then rustproofed so need to worry about that now, also its had a new drivers wing & rear arch fitted and painted. Recent work carried out, new headlights, rear lower suspension arm, new rear drop links.
Mechanically is first class and drives like a dream, power is instant when you want it ( no turbo lag ), press the Sports button and put your foot down, and holy moly, it just throws you back in your seat as the horizon rapidly speeds towards you.
As I said, I love this car, but due to personal circumstances, I am looking to go back to the gentle life of classic cars, yes I'm an old fogey.
