Description
Pierce Arrow was the top car manufacturer of the time in the United States and had a reputation for quality. All Pierce Arrows of the time were custom built to the buyer's requirements. In 1934, Pierce-Arrow launched a new line of cars. The 1934 models had more rounded bodies and not as much chrome was used. The triple taillight that had been used since the mid-1920s was replaced by taillights on the rear fenders, similar to Pierce-Arrow's headlights.
This example is a 7-seater 840A, finished in blue and black paint with 2 spare wheels. The car comes from a private classic car collection in Almeria. The body is in excellent condition with very good paint. The interior is in good condition but shows some age. The car has been used at weddings and also in films in the past and would make a good investment for a collector with earning potential.
The car is registered as a historic vehicle in Spain, which is granted to historic vehicles with a special cultural interest. This brings the added benefits of reduced insurance, exemption from road tax, a five-year interval between MOT tests and permitted entry into low emission zones.
The car was used regularly until 2023. It has latterly been in a secure dry storage facility.
The car is complete and running but will need to be returned to service due to the length of time it has been in storage. The price reflects the quality of the vehicle but recognises the need to return it to service for road use.
Any prospective buyer can assess the car in person by appointment.
