Originally imported to the UK by Alan Mann Racing—famed for their Ford touring cars—this Falcon eventually moved into private ownership and is now being transformed into a competitive, FIA-compliant race car. With recent progress under the care of Premier Motorsport, this Falcon Sprint is well-suited for historic racing series like CTCRC Pre-66 Touring Cars and prestigious events such as the Spa 6 Hours.
Race-Ready Enhancements and Restorations:
Since 2021, this Falcon has undergone a meticulous transformation, setting the stage for a competitive return to racing. Completed work includes:
• Full Underside Restoration: Complete strip-down and reinforcement for improved durability.
• Engine Bay Reinforcement: Crossmembers strengthened, plus race radiator and oil coolers
• Safety Features: FIA-spec Safety Devices roll cage fitted, preserving the original interior panels, along with harness mounts.
• Custom Dashboard: Redesigned dash with race gauges, switches, master cut-off, and GT40-style tachometer binnacle.
• Steering Upgrades: Quick-ratio steering box with a modified column, retaining the original wheel.
• Suspension & Braking: FIA-spec springs, NITRON shock absorbers newly rebuilt, Kelsey-Hayes front brakes with race discs and pads, anti-tramp bars, and brass bushings replacing spring shackles and front spring rocker
• Rear Axle and Differential: FIA-legal, fully rebuilt with spool diff, oil baffles, and 1-inch cylinders.
• Powertrain Enhancements: A race-ready 289 engine (0 miles), Richmond Super T10 gearbox (0 miles), and race flywheel with a sintered clutch.
Additional Details and Parts
The car also comes with a set of FIA-approved fiberglass panels (bonnet, boot lid, and doors) along with a full set of steel bumpers. Some final touches are required to complete the project, including wiring, interior fit-up, fire extinguisher installation, and fitting the new Nitron dampers. Progress is ongoing, so the price will adjust accordingly.
This is a factory-registered 1964 Falcon Sprint registered as a classic black on black, California import with rust-free structural components and a strong, authentic patina. The car’s paint is an older red paint job, giving it a period-correct look. While you may choose to repaint, we’ve left this decision open to suit your vision.
