Description

1973 Triumph Spitfire

This great looking car is in lovely original condition. The car has very low ownership and has covered 97, 000 miles from new.

I have the original bill of sale and all paperwork up to date including the Triumph passport to service book and all invoices. 2 sets of keys including the factory metal key tab and supplying dealer keyring. Also included is the Ziebart rust proofing paperwork.

The Ziebart system has definitely worked on this car as all the rubber plugs are still in place and looking around the car it has never been welded or had any major rust issues which can be a problem with these cars.

Bodywork is in lovely condition, all panels are fitting well just as it left the factory, on close inspection there’s a few stone chips on the nose of the bonnet that have been touched in by the previous elderly owner and the odd age related mark. Overall it’s in superb condition. The black rust proofing could be cleaned off with plenty of time and elbow grease. In places were the rust proofing has worn away it shows the factory yellow paint.

Interior is in excellent original condition, if being critical the carpets have minimal signs of age wear “remember there fifty odd years old”

Recently the car has had a new soft top roof. It also comes with its original hood cover.

Mechanically the car runs and drives great. Always well maintained. Stainless steel exhaust.

A great example of this fantastic car.

Any inspection is well and encouraged

We are a small family run business with over 30 years experience in classic cars. We are passionate about all sports cars particularly convertibles. Over the years we have enjoyed meeting new people who are equally as fanatical about quirky cars as us!

We are mainly interested in British sports and saloon cars from the 1960s and 1970s, but can appreciate a good car from any era and often have a diverse range of stock.

Over the years we have enjoyed restoring cars which has given us a solid background and embedded us in a network of enthusiasts. In the last few years our direction has changed slightly towards hunting out classics, from barn finds to turn key beauties.
