Description
We are pleased to offer this gorgeous 1947 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith finished in the Royal colours of Maroon over Black. The interior is trimmed with Black hide to the front and Grey West of England wool cloth for the rear compartment.
The large history file shows that the car belonged to the famous Greek shipping family of Kulukundis. The chassis under the number WTA65 was delivered to H. J Mulliner on the 29th November 1946. The body selected by the first owner was the design number 7019 called “Sedanca De Ville”.
The WTA65 was number 6 of just 13 Silver Wraiths to have this body fitted. Interestingly the design “7019 - Sedanca De Ville” was the first body to be fitted to a Silver Wraith after the end of the war.
In the recent years the car has had in excess of £100, 000 spent on her. This included completely retrimming the interior to the highest standard with the finest leather, wool cloth and Wilton carpets. Also undertaken was the refinishing of all the interior woodwork, again this was completed by the very best London specialists. In addition, the car has had much mechanical maintenance including a complete overhaul of the rear axle and diff, rear suspension, wiring, cooling system, fuel system, ignition, exhaust brakes and front suspension. In short, the car has been maintained to the highest possible standard and is ready to be used and enjoyed.
This Silver Wraith is undoubtedly one of the finest examples we have seen and would make a fantastic addition to any collection.
