Description
Very early 2000GXL. Built January 1971. I have some history which shows it’s the oldest 2. 0 GXL still on the road.
5 speed gearbox fitted so effortlessly keeps up with modern traffic conditions. Front disk brakes with servo means it also stops when you want it too.
Drives absolutely lovely with no known faults other than the radio not working.
Gets lots of attention at classic car shows and very positive comments whenever I share a photo online.
This has to be one of the best Mk3 Cortina’s out there.
Being the top of the range in its day GXL (grand extra luxury) its driving position and level of trim is a lovely place to be.
The extra 4 pod clocks (standard GXL) all work as the should and the early sloping dash is in superb condition.
The metallic Tawny brown paintwork looks amazing 70’s. Black vinyl interior.
This really needs to be viewed to be appreciated.
I’ve attached a link to a video a guy has uploaded on YouTube
I don’t know the guy but he gives a good overview of the car
